Pine Bush Equine Service + Veterinary Hospital is seeking a versatile equine veterinarian for our growing ambulatory service. You can expect to be supported by a fully equipped and staffed hospital with competent, experienced practitioners who enjoy mentoring and support a collaborative team-work environment with emphasis on helping each other and providing excellent customer service.


Established over 50 years ago by Dr. Howard Gill,we are a well-respected and long-standing member of our community with a strong history of quality equine care in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York State. PBES+ VH is now owned by world-renowned equine surgeon and lameness expert, Dr. Mike Ross. Dr. Ross spent most of his career at the University of Pennsylvania but has been a consulting surgeon at this practice since the 1980s.


The area provides an array of horses and disciplines with which to work, allowing our doctors to truly find their niche. Our hospital includes a 13-stall barn with climate-controlled treatment areas, advanced diagnostics including video endoscopy, gastroscopy, dynamic endoscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, and nuclear scintigraphy along with the most up to date treatment modalities including IRAP, ProStride, PRP, laser therapy, shockwave therapy. We also perform over 250 elective surgeries a year, offering excellent treatment options for our clients.


With this position we offer a competitive base salary and production bonus, equitable split of emergency duty, fully equipped ambulatory vehicle, work cell phone and laptop, full benefits including health, dental, liability insurance, paid time off, pet care discount, continuing education stipend and reimbursement for professional dues and fees. We also offer student loan paydown assistance and may be able to help with relocation costs! Ability to obtain a New York state veterinary license and possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
