  A compassionate, Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team!

You will help ensure the highest quality care for our patients, from routine visits to critical care cases, while building lasting relationships with our clients and their beloved pets.

Details that match the position requirements:

·         Technician Certification (preferred, but not necessary)

·         Having knowledge and experience of 1-2  years in a Veterinary setting, in technicians role, including successful experience with:

·         Room Tech experience:

·         Including, but not limited to, patient history, safe restraining protocols of all types of feline and K-9 patients, follows vaccine protocols and uses appropriate handling of sharps, takes precautions when handling all types of samples, comfortable with doctor, team, and all types of client interactions and education, including, euthanasia ( shows empathy for sensitive situations) and educating on  preventatives, and medication instructions.

·         Laboratory skills:

o     Including but not limited to, cytology, In house CBC and Urinalysis, and proper handling protocols.

·         Surgical and Radiology Experience:

o     Catheterization, admit and discharge of surgical patients, anesthesia monitoring, administration of medications, IM and SQ injections, medication dosing, etc

o    Radiology experience, with calibration knowledge

·         OTHER

·         Clear and concise communications

·         Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs

·         Ability to go up and down stairs several times in a day to access hospital supplies and

·         Goal and Team oriented (a must)

·         Multitasking skills and the ability to shift easily in a fast passed environment

·         Equipment knowledge, including but not limited to utilization of Practice management software, Is comfortable using their computer skills including, word, excel, and teams
