Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air, MD is excited to welcome an Avian & Exotics Veterinary Specialist to our team of dedicated emergency clinicians! This is a rare opportunity to shape and grow an exotics program within a well-established, 24-hour emergency and critical care hospital.

  • Wildlife & Volunteer Opportunities: Partner with local animal control for wildlife care, or volunteer at the nearby Maryland Zoo or Plumpton Park Zoo.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ideal candidates can work mid-shift or rotate overnights, but we’re open to discussion.
About You
We welcome residency-trained, board-certified, or experienced exotics veterinarians (no certification required). What matters most is your skill, adaptability, and passion for elevating exotic animal care.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary $180,000–$200,000 (depending on experience)
  • Base salary model only at start, with potential to move to ProSal in the future

  • 8 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, cat-only room, separate dog/cat isolation wards
