Bayhill Equine is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Equine Veterinarian to join our high-caliber, sports medicine-focused ambulatory team located on the stunning San Francisco Peninsula. Bayhill Equine is a 3 associate, 1 intern solely ambulatory practice. We have years of experience caring for elite equine athletes, serving a loyal client base in disciplines including hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, reining, and pleasure riding.

Your Role

- Deliver ambulatory veterinary services focused on sports medicine, lameness evaluation, diagnostic imaging, preventative medicine, and rotating emergency care that is split amongst 3 doctors.
- Provide high-touch client communication and develop long-term partnerships with owners, trainers, and barns.
- Collaborate with your fellow associates, intern, techs, and referral hospitals to support comprehensive case management.
- Share your clinical expertise and ideas to help drive innovation and elevate patient care.


Your Qualifications

- A licensed DVM or VMD (or eligible for California licensure).
- Internship-trained (required) with at least one year of equine clinical experience (preferred).
- Experienced and passionate about equine sports medicine and performance horse care.
- A strong communicator with a collaborative mindset and a desire to mentor others.
- Comfortable with an ambulatory-only practice model.
- Aware of and adaptable to the high cost of living in California (we structure compensation accordingly).


Compensation & Benefits

- Base Salary: Starting at $120,000+, commensurate with experience.
- Production Bonus: 26% production-based compensation on invoiced revenue.
