What You'll Do:

 

    • Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, including pre-op preparation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and post-op recovery

    • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed

    • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and diagnostic testing (e.g., bloodwork, radiographs, urinalysis)

    • Monitor and record vital signs, pain management, and patient status throughout hospitalization

    • Educate clients on post-operative care, medication administration, and general pet health

    • Maintain surgical suite cleanliness, sterilize instruments, and ensure all surgical and medical supplies are stocked and ready

    • Prepare and process laboratory samples with precision and accuracy

    • Support dental procedures, including scaling, polishing, and radiography

    • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital protocols

    • Collaborate closely with the veterinary and support team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient experience


Requirements:

      • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials – active and in good standing

      • Minimum 3 years of experience in the veterinary field

      • Surgical experience, including anesthesia and sterile technique

      • Excellent communication and multitasking skills

      • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
