Riverview Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a full-service 10+ doctor veterinary office, we offer state-of-the-art diagnostics, advanced care, routine and advanced surgical procedures, laproscopy, ultrasound, rehabilitation and many other services to provide our pet community with the best care. Registered Veterinary Technician Role Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
  • Experienced Non Certified applicants may be considered

Certified Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

  • Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms along with electronic medical record keeping skills.
  • Laboratory procedures preparing or preforming: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, blood chemistry, and fecals.
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SQ/IM, applying bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
  • Assists the Veterinarian in medical and surgical. Performs dental prophylaxis, dental x-rays, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.

Compensation

  • The base hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role and level of responsibilities. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and additional factors such as relevant education or training.
  • Position eligible for a periodic bonus
