Veterinary Technicians! Are you ready to join a team that is dedicated to maintaining its unbeatable culture in a BRAND NEW, 16,000 square foot hospital? So BRAND NEW that it still has that hair free, new hospital smell? Look no further as Animal Medical Center of Plainfield (also known as CARE Animal Emergency Services) had our Grand Opening August 2023 and is looking for talented veterinary professionals to join our GROWING hospital team!

We are searching for:

·        General Practice Veterinary Technicians: General Practice background is needed; surgery experience is a plus! You will rotate daily among appointments, surgery, outpatient appointments, dentals, doctor support, etc.

o   Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts OR four 10-hour shifts

§  Shifts would be between hours of 6:30a-6:30p.

§  General Practice is closed on Sundays.

·        Emergency Veterinary Technicians (Days and Overnights): Need to be CPR trained and have an understanding of ICU standards of patient care.

o   Daytime Schedule: Five 7-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend.

§  7 Hour shift start times are either 7:30a or 1:30p

§  12 Hour shifts are 8a-8p.

o   Overnight Schedule: On a 2-2-3 rotation.

§  On for 2 days, off for 2 days, on for 3 days, off for 2 days, on for 2 days, off for 3 days, etc.

General Practice CVT: Base Bonus $500

·        Level 1 Skill Test: + $500

·        Level 2 Skill Test: + $1000

·        Level 3 Skill Test: + $1500

Emergency CVT: Base Bonus $1000

·        Level 1 Skill Test: + $500

·        Level 2 Skill Test: + $1000

·        Level 3 Skill Test: + $1500

About Us:

Animal Medical Center of Plainfield is a growing, 13 Doctor, state of the art, small animal practice serving the community since 1990. We have recently moved into a BRAND NEW, 16,000 square foot building, to accommodate for the growth of our hospital. Complete with two state of the art surgical suites, dual dental suite, inhouse ultrasound specialist, full iso (canines and feline have separate units)  with intensive care oxygen unit, central vacuum (goes straight into the wall!), two break rooms, lactation suite, we are truly a one stop shop for all our patient’s needs & employee wants.

·        You must have a strong foundational understanding and be able to perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician.

·        Desired skills include:

o   Phlebotomy

o   Catheter Placement

o   Radiology Safety & Proper Technique

o   Anesthesia Monitoring Proficiency

o   Perioperative Surgical Nursing Skills

o   Experience Operating Fluid Pumps & Maintaining IV Sets

Compensation: We have an open pay scale based on skill building books - levels. Upon hire you can opt into testing to determine your pay-level and skill level to start within or you can start at an introductory training book and work your way through. The level pay is below:

·        General Practice CVT & Daytime ER CVT:

o   Intro: $18-$20

o   Level 1: $20-$22

o   Level 2: $22-$24

o   Level 3: $24-$26+

·        Overnight Emergency CVT:

o   Intro: $20-$22

o   Level 1: $22-$24

o   Level 2: $24-$26

o   Level 3: $26-$28+
