What You’ll Do

As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you will:

  • Perform advanced technical duties including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and laboratory testing.
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery with precision and care.
  • Educate clients on preventative care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols.
  • Support inventory management and ensure proper handling of medications and supplies.

About You

  • Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Illinois.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to adapt to the needs of each patient.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Passionate about client education and patient advocacy.

Schedule

  • Weekdays: 7:00 AM – 6:30PM
  • Rotating Saturdays
  • Normal business hours: M–F 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sat 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Compensation: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and certification.
