Veterinary Receptionist- $15-$18/hr

Job Type: Full-Time 


About Us: At Southern Veterinary Center, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care to pets and their families. Our team of skilled veterinarians and staff work together to ensure that every animal receives the highest standard of medical care in a friendly and supportive environment. We are currently looking to hire a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.


Job Description: As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, ensuring that all interactions are positive, professional, and welcoming. You will play a crucial role in creating a smooth and efficient experience for both clients and staff by handling administrative tasks, managing appointments, and providing support to the veterinary team. 


Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, caring, and professional manner
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client inquiries
  • Check-in clients and prepare medical records for appointments
  • Process client payments and provide receipts
  • Maintain patient files and update client information
  • Handle client concerns and ensure follow-up communication is timely and accurate
  • Assist with client education on pet care and procedures
  • Process and manage client forms (e.g., consent forms, medical histories)
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and keep reception area organized
  • Assist the veterinary team with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care facility, or customer service role preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, veterinary software systems)
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A love for animals and a compassionate attitude towards their care
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility to work some Saturdays
