Job Description

At Invermere Vetrinary Hospital, we are passionate about providing top-tier care for pets in our community. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for every visit. If you’re an animal lover with great customer service skills, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their pets with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  • Manage the clinic’s phone lines, scheduling appointments, and answering client questions.
  • Handle client billing, process payments, and assist with insurance claims.
  • Maintain accurate client and pet records in our system.
  • Provide information on clinic services, preventative care, and pet health recommendations.
  • Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, inventory management, and office upkeep.
  • Support the veterinary team by ensuring smooth front desk operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, or office administration preferred.
  • Experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and pets.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and scheduling software (experience with Avimark is a plus).
