Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated veterinary assistant to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services to our local community.
Duties:
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
  • Monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery
  • Collect appropriate lab samples via blood draw or urinary collection
  • Place IV catheters
  • Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
  • Administer medications under veterinary supervision
  • Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and surgical logs
Requirements:
  • Certification as a veterinary technician preferred
  • Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
  • Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
  • Understanding of veterinary medical terminology
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Experience with x-ray imaging
