Customer Service Representative- Relief

Title of Position:  Customer Service Representative

Department         Reception              

Reports to:           Supervisor

Rate of Pay:        $18.00/hr- $24.00/hr DOE

Overall Responsibility: Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are on the front line between clients/patients and the rest of the hospital. CSRs must be able to think and act quickly to facilitate the best possible care for all patients. CSRs are responsible for interacting with all areas of the hospital and organizing the flow of the hospital to the best of their abilities.  This is a relief position; ability to work all shifts (day, swing, overnight) to assist hospital with coverage in case of open positions, vacations, or call outs.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

·         Greet all clients and patients.

·         Check in emergent cases and scheduled appointments for all departments.

·         Answer multiple phone lines and manage multiple incoming email boxes.

·         Take patient weights and guide clients to exam rooms.

·         Send appointment reminder emails, calls and texts.

·         Perform follow-up calls for recent visits.

·         Scan documents and manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

·         Collect and document various forms of payments such as cash, credit card, Care Credit, Scratch Pay and personal checks.

·         Clean lobby and exam rooms, as well as other areas of the hospital as needed.

·         Provide a calm and empathetic experience for all clients.

·         All other duties as assigned.

 

Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required.  At least 1 year of animal experience preferred.

Skill Requirements: Strong ability to multitask and anticipate needs.  Ability to perform basic math and count currency. Excellent communication with staff, and between staff and upper management. Good attendance. Handles stress well and keeps a positive attitude. Excels at conflict resolution and superb at problem solving.

Physical Requirements: This job requires sitting and looking at computer screens for an extended period. Ability to perform basic cleaning tasks including mopping.  Must be able to lift or assist with lifting up to 50lbs.
