Job Summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Compensation Business Partner to join our growing team.


The Compensation Business Partner is a key contributor to Ethos Veterinary Health’s continued ability to attract, reward, and retain top talent. This role will be responsible for key day-to-day processes related to our compensation programs and will be a major contributor to compensation projects, from design through execution, including modeling, project planning, communicating, training and administration.


The Compensation Business Partner helps create and implement company-wide compensation programs including base pay and incentive compensation, consults with TR/HR peers and business leaders to assess, design, influence and execute our compensation program, and takes ownership for maintaining and applying market data to meet the needs of the business.


Key Responsibilities


Compensation Design and Support:

  • Assist in developing and implementing compensation policies and programs that align with organizational goals, market competitiveness, and legal requirements.
  • Support the Annual Compensation Process and Incentive Compensation programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders and HR partners regarding compensation-related matters, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentive plans.
  • Lead or participate in compensation-related projects such as compensation audits, system upgrades, or incentive program designs.
  • Create dynamic models to assess the potential impact of future design decisions. 

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analyses to assess the competitiveness of the organization's pay structure.
  • Analyze industry compensation trends to recommend adjustments or improvements to the current compensation system.
  • Perform pay equity analysis and ensure internal equity across the organization.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Prepare and present reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date compensation data is maintained and analyzed.

Job Evaluation & Salary Structure:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of salary structures and guidelines, ensuring they align with organizational goals and market data.
  • Conduct job evaluations and assign jobs to appropriate salary grades and ranges and to ensure internal equity. Partner with HR partners to develop and maintain job descriptions.
  • Provide compensation recommendations for new and existing roles.
  • Participate in salary survey submissions.

Compliance & Legal:

  • Ensure compensation programs comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, Equal Pay Act, etc.).

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 8+ years of experience in Compensation Analysis and Consulting
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, mathematical/analytical and technical skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and HRIS systems
  • Ability to work independently/with little supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with HR, management, and employees at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex data sets and calculations


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 8 Years’ Experience
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s
  • Dayforce experience preferred


The base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$125,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
