Position: Compliance Coordinator
Location: Remote or On-site (serving operations across all 50 states and Canada)
Reports To: Sr. Manager of Compliance
Position Overview
The Compliance Coordinator provides essential administrative support to the Compliance team of a dynamic, multi-site veterinary services company. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the Compliance ticketing system, ensuring that routine inquiries are answered promptly and that more complex matters are assigned to the appropriate specialists. The Compliance Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of compliance processes across both U.S. and Canadian sites.
This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of a best-in-class compliance program, guided by the principles outlined in the Department of Justice (DOJ) sentencing guidelines. The Coordinator will help reinforce the company’s commitment to regulatory excellence, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement, striving to meet and exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage the Compliance ticketing system, ensuring timely response and resolution of compliance-related queries.
• Answer routine compliance and policy questions and provide general information to staff and management.
• Assign complex compliance issues to relevant specialists or team members for further investigation and resolution.
• Support the Compliance team with varied administrative tasks, including document management, scheduling, and coordination of compliance-related projects.
• Assist in maintaining records and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across all sites.
• Assist with the development, distribution, and tracking of compliance training materials for team members.
• Prepare presentations and reports using PowerPoint and other tools as needed.
• Help implement and support compliance initiatives that align with DOJ sentencing guidelines and best practices for risk mitigation and program effectiveness.
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews of compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Help coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and assist with the preparation of documentation for inspections or investigations.
• Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and manuals as directed.
• Participate in risk assessments and support corrective action processes as needed.
• Track and report metrics related to compliance activities to leadership.
• Support internal whistleblower and reporting systems, including confidential intake and follow-up.
Qualifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments, with the flexibility to adapt priorities and processes as the team and organization matures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
• Experience or background in regulatory matters such as OSHA, DEA, and EPA is preferred.
• Demonstrated project management skills are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling varied administrative responsibilities.

- Rate: $20.43 to 30.53 per hour or $42,500-63,500 annually
