Position Overview: National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Configurations & Data Validation Specialist to support its mission of providing excellent, accessible care to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them. This role involves collaborating closely with deployment managers to ensure accurate and efficient setup of configurations and data validation for sites ahead of their go-live. This role involves configuring system parameters, testing data integrity, and validating that all configurations meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with deployment managers to establish and configure system parameters based on specific site requirements.
• Perform rigorous data validation processes to ensure data integrity and consistency prior to go-live.
• Document and troubleshoot configuration issues or data errors, collaborating with relevant teams to address them promptly.
• Work closely with deployment managers to understand site-specific requirements and timelines.
• Identify areas for improvement in the configuration and validation process, contributing to enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

o Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness when working with large datasets.
o Ensures that data migrated from legacy systems to new platforms is complete, accurate, and adheres to set standards.
o Reviews configurations meticulously to align with user requirements, minimizing errors and rework.
2. Data Migration & Validation
o Develops and implements streamlined processes for bulk data validation, ensuring efficient and effective data transfer between systems.
o Creates systems for checks and balances to identify discrepancies and address errors promptly.
o Skilled in leveraging automated tools and manual techniques to validate large volumes of data during migration.
3. Problem Solving & Error Resolution
o Proactively identifies data inconsistencies and configuration issues and takes initiative to resolve them.
o Develops solutions for complex data validation challenges, ensuring accurate system configurations.
o Establishes protocols for error tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
4. Process Improvement & Standardization
o Innovates and refines processes for validating data and system configurations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o Helps establish best practices for data checks, balances, and error management to streamline future migrations.
o Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure a standardized approach to system setup and configuration.
5. Analytical Thinking & Questioning
o Asks insightful, thoughtful questions to understand hospital team needs, ensuring that configurations align with operational workflows.
o Utilizes critical thinking to anticipate potential issues and recommend optimal configuration settings.
o Applies analytical skills to interpret data trends and uncover patterns that may indicate errors.
6. Collaboration & Communication
o Works closely with Deployment Specialists and hospital teams to set up codes, configurations, and data structures that meet their needs.
o Effectively communicates data validation results, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective actions to stakeholders.
o Builds strong working relationships across teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and objectives.
7. Time Management & Prioritization
o Manages multiple data validation tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
o Prioritizes workload effectively to meet deadlines for data checks, corrections, and system configurations.
o Ensures that validation checks are conducted and returned in a timely manner, allowing adequate time for any necessary corrections.
8. Technical Proficiency
o Proficient in using data migration tools, Excel, SQL, and other relevant software for data analysis and validation.
o Familiar with system configuration and setup processes, including coding, mapping, and testing.
o Continuously updates knowledge on system updates, new tools, and best practices in data migration.
9. Adaptability & Continuous Learning
o Adapts quickly to changes in project scope, timelines, and priorities.
o Demonstrates a willingness to learn new systems, tools, and methodologies to improve data validation processes.
o Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance skills and improve workflows.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience in veterinary or healthcare systems implementation or hospital operations preferred
• Proven experience in data migration or configuration review, ensuring data completeness and adherence to guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (Xcel, Python, PowerBI)

Compensation:
The total compensation range for the position is between $75,000 - $85,000 with opportunity for benefits.
