Customer Service Representative (Part-Time with Full-Time Potential)
📍 Galveston Veterinary Clinic – Galveston, TX

We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to be the welcoming face of Galveston Veterinary Clinic! This part-time opportunity offers room for growth and full-time potential for the right candidate.

As a CSR, you’ll be at the heart of our hospital—supporting clients, managing front desk operations, and helping pets get the care they need. If you're friendly, organized, calm under pressure, and great at multitasking, we want to meet you!


🐾 Key Responsibilities

Client Service – Before the Visit

  • Answer incoming calls with professionalism and care.

  • Schedule appointments and respond to client inquiries.

  • Prepare and update patient records.

  • Provide pre-visit instructions and reminders.

  • Keep the front desk area organized and fully stocked.

  • Inform the team of incoming emergencies.

Client Service – During the Visit

  • Greet clients and ensure a smooth visit from check-in to check-out.

  • Coordinate patient needs with technicians and doctors.

  • Prepare necessary forms, invoices, and certificates.

  • Provide emotional support to grieving or stressed clients.

  • Handle payments and explain financial options when needed.

Client Service – After the Visit

  • Follow up with clients post-visit or post-surgery.

  • Assist with client education materials and communications.

  • Help manage client reminders and thank-you notes.

Operational & Financial

  • Maintain a clean and professional reception area.

  • Assist with inventory and office supply orders.

  • Process payments, reconcile daily transactions, and close out reports.

  • Support the hospital manager with projects and daily operations.

Medical Support

  • Understand basic medical terminology and products.

  • Assist with over-the-counter sales of food and medications.

  • Support exam room techs as needed.


What We're Looking For

  • Positive, friendly attitude with strong communication skills.

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or customer service role is a plus.

  • Comfortable with computers; experience with AVImark is a bonus.

  • Ability to stay calm and compassionate in a fast-paced setting.

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the clinic.


Schedule:

  • Part-Time (Shifts as needed)

  • Relief shifts

  • Some Saturdays required

  • Flexible hours with full-time potential based on performance and clinic needs

Location: On-site at Galveston Veterinary Clinic
Compensation: Competitive pay, based on experience
