Position Overview: National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Permissions & Configuration Specialist to support its mission of providing excellent, accessible care to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them. This role is dedicated to addressing post-go-live needs, specifically focusing on permissions management and configuration changes or updates. The specialist is responsible for ongoing support and ensuring the system remains aligned with evolving business requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for permissions and configuration-related inquiries and issues that arise post-implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve access, permissions, and configuration challenges to maintain operational continuity.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and implement requested adjustments, ensuring alignment with established guidelines and policies.


Key Competencies:

System Configuration & Access Management

    • Proficient in setting up, configuring, and managing system permissions to align with organizational policies and user needs.
    • Ensures accurate role-based access control (RBAC) and other permission structures, safeguarding data integrity.
    • Regularly reviews and updates permissions to accommodate evolving system requirements and user roles.
  1. Data Security & Compliance
    • Prioritizes data security in all configurations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
    • Conducts regular audits of permissions to identify and mitigate unauthorized access risks.
    • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data privacy standards, implementing measures to protect sensitive information.
  2. Technical Problem Solving & Troubleshooting
    • Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve configuration or access issues impacting system performance or user experience.
    • Analyzes and diagnoses complex configuration challenges, proposing effective solutions.
    • Continuously enhances technical skills to stay current with system updates and tools for permissions management.
  3. Collaboration & Communication
    • Works closely with IT, security, and user teams to understand access needs and ensure smooth configuration processes.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively, providing guidance on access policies and procedures.
    • Builds strong relationships with cross-functional teams to support seamless collaboration on system configuration and permissions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in veterinary or healthcare systems implementation or hospital operations preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in setting up, configuring, and managing permissions to meet user needs while safeguarding system integrity and aligning with security policies.
  • Proven ability to conduct regular reviews and update permissions to accommodate changes in system requirements, user roles, or organizational policies.

Compensation & FLSA Status:

Base salary: $80,000-90,000

FLSA: Exempt, salaried

Temporary: This role is projected to last 18 months to 2 years, dependent on business needs. The role is eligible for benefits.
