Job Description

I-20 Animal Medical Center is excited to announce the expansion of our dental team and is on the lookout for a dedicated ER/Dentistry Veterinarian to join our dynamic and passionate group.

We are an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital located in Arlington, Texas, in the heart of the DFW area. While we specialize in emergency care, we also offer dental services, general care, boarding, and grooming. In addition to being AAHA certified, we are Cat Friendly Certified and are working towards Fear Free certification.

The ER/Dentistry Veterinarian role will be on the day shift, splitting time between performing dentistry procedures and seeing wellness and emergency cases, with two days dedicated to dentistry and two days focused on wellness and emergency care.  

We conduct most lab work in-house and have a wide range of diagnostic capabilities including digital radiograph, dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ultrasound/echocardiography (portable and stationary), and generators for oxygen and electricity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with clients by providing empathetic and high-quality care.
  • Perform dental and surgical procedures with precision and care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about dental diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Keep detailed and up-to-date medical/surgical records.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary dentistry.
  • Assist in developing the paraprofessional team for exceptional care.
  • Positively represent the hospital in the professional community.

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • DVM or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Board-Certified or Residenty-Trained Dentist preferred but not required. 
  • Licensure in good standing.
  • Proficiency in dental procedures and surgeries.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development.
