Come join our Emergency Department!  We are adding an additional Emergency Veterinarian to our Metro team. 


Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital is a Specialty and Emergency Referral Facility with hospitals in Akron and Highland Heights, Ohio.


The Metropolitan Veterinary group has provided specialty and emergency care for over 50 years in the Cleveland area with an established reputation of providing the “Gold Standard” of veterinary medicine.


We are excited to be growing our Emergency team and are actively recruiting Emergency doctors for our Akron location or split between our Akron and Cleveland sites.


Position Details:

  • Minimum experience: rotating internship or 2 years of ER experience
  • Schedule is a combination of rotating shifts at 12-14 shifts a month
  • Ability to perform surgery on shift at Cleveland location, but not required

  • Consult with our Critical Care Team, available 24/7 for Critical Care Support

  • Collaborate with our specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Exotics, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Ophthalmology

·       The spacious 24,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with leading-edge technology that includes: a state-of-the-art ICU, 2 digital radiography units, ultrasound, CT, MRI, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, telemetry, and a complete in-house laboratory
