Your Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A DVM, VMD or equivalent foreign degree with Educational Equivalency Certification and successful NAVLE completion.
- Rotating internship training and 2+ years of ER experience in a specialty hospital setting.
- Ability to frequently move, transport, or lift over 50lbs, handle and examine patients independently without assistance, and the ability to work in an unpredictable veterinary environment that may require quick physical reflexes.

Our Hospital
- We are a 48,000 sq ft, premier VECCS Level 1 certified emergency and specialty hospital located 11 miles north of Boston
- Recent hospitalization expansion including a new specialty lobby, 8 new operating rooms, a new endoscopy suite, expanded clinical areas, and a brand-new ICU and isolation
- We have a new cardiology-focused fluoroscopy unit, brand-new MRI, and brand-new CT with 3D imaging capabilities
- Access to cutting edge diagnostics and treatments including digital cytology, therapeutic plasma exchange, dialysis, high flow oxygen, ventilation, SUB placement, lithotripsy, interventional radiology and more

Our Team
- Excellent technician staffing with highly skilled nursing staff
- Average ER doctor tenure of 5+ years
- ER department comprised of 35 ER clinicians and Criticalists – and always growing!
- Comprehensive specialty services including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Oncology, Anesthesiology and Critical Care. Most services are available 7 days a week!
- Part-time onsite Social worker available for clients and staff
Our Focus on Teaching
- Robust House Officer Program includes Radiology residents, Neurology resident and interns, and Surgery residents
- ER Immerse program – structured training program designed to provide training and mentorship for veterinarians looking to excel in the field of emergency medicine in lieu of an internship or residency
- Frequent in-house RACE approved CE opportunities.
- Large, dedicated teaching space/conference room for lectures, CE events, and meetings
