The Opportunity


Animal Emergency Clinic of Grand Terrace, CA is seeking a Relief Veterinarian. As a Relief DVM with AEC you will be treated with the same respect as any doctor within our team. We place a high value on our Relief DVMs and have even experienced many of them turning into Full-Time employees at our practice!

The Hospital


Animal Emergency Clinic is an AAHA accredited emergency hospital. We opened our doors in 1974 to provide emergency urgent care, and critical care veterinary services to the communities of Riverside, Redlands, Yucaipa, Moreno Valley, and San Bernardino areas. In 2017 we opened our new facility and offer:


  • State-of-the-art Anesthesiology and monitoring, including blood testing
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Non-invasive pulse oximetry
  • In-house laboratory
  • Digital radiology
  • Ultrasound
  • Therapeutic laser treatments


AEC was designed by veterinarians and features amenities such as a full-sized kitchen, guaranteed to be stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, as well as a dedicated lounge with private bathroom and bedroom where overnight DVMs can rest and relax.


The Team


We are a tight-knit group with a welcoming culture. We enjoy celebrating each others’ successes and show special recognition to all team members during Vet Employee Appreciation week each year. Our technicians work very well with all DVMs and all our DVMs are enthusiastic about teaching & mentoring. We prioritize regular communication across the practice and make AEC a true “work home”.


The Schedule


  • Weekdays: Overnight service Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6P--8A 
  • Weekends: 24-hour service Friday 6P - Monday 8A


The Area


Grand Terrace is located 60 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Nestled between the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountains, Grand Terrace has plenty to offer if you love the outdoors and Southern California climate.


You have your pick of beaches along the coast. How about a fresh-water destination? Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead offer water sports galore in the summertime and mountain skiing in the wintertime.
