Are you the exceptional ER Vet we’re searching for in this bustling veterinary industry? Community Pet Hospital is looking for a part-time or full-time Emergency Doctor.

Community Pet Hospital is a forward-thinking, general practice and emergency hospital with two locations in Thornton, CO, near the stunning Rocky Mountains—an outdoor lover’s dream! Our comprehensive care facility allows us to cater to a wide range of patient needs, from urgent care cases to emergency situations. This unique approach provides our veterinarians with a diverse array of cases and the opportunity to perform their own surgeries. Additionally, as a general practice, we offer continuity of care that ensures our patients receive consistent, quality treatment throughout their lives.

Our 9-doctor small animal practice prioritizes high-quality medicine, client education, and staff development. We embrace a team-based approach, with skilled, experienced support staff and regular DVM meetings to foster collaboration and continuous growth.   • : Our 10pm-8am overnight shifts keep burnout at bay.  We are open to various schedule combinations like days/swings or swings/nights, or just nights, and are always open to your scheduling preferences.
  • : Base Salary of $165k-$225k, recognizing the value of your skills and dedication.

  • Digital radiology
  • Digital ultrasound with telemedicine radiologist review
  • Digital dental radiographs
  • Access to STAT rad review
  • Full in house blood analyzers: IDEXX Procyte and Catalyst, I-Stat, Coag Analyzer
  • In house urinalysis, fecals and cytology
  • ECG, BP, SPO2, ligasure
  • Two locations to serve our loyal client base and accommodate same day/sick

What we are looking for:

·        At least 6-12 months of emergency experience

·        A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university. 

·        Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.

·        Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.

·        Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Works collaboratively with hospital team members.

·        Makes decisions confidently and effectively.

·        Manages time and tasks appropriately.

·        Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.

·        Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
