Emergency Veterinarian

Community Pet Hospital

Job Description

Veterinarian – Daytime or Swing Shift GP / ER

Community Pet Hospital | Powered by NVA
One hospital. Multiple paths. You choose the adventure.
At Community Pet Hospital, we don’t believe great veterinarians should be forced into one rigid box. Some doctors love general practice. Others thrive in emergency medicine. Many enjoy a mix of both.

Here, you can build a role that fits you.
We’re hiring a daytime / swing shift veterinarian for a flexible GP, ER, or hybrid GP/ER position, depending on your interests, experience, and long-term goals.

 Why This Role Is Different
This is not a “one-size-fits-all” position.
  • Prefer daytime GP with continuity of care? ✔
  • Interested in daytime ER / urgent care-style cases without overnights? ✔
  • Want a blend of GP + ER to keep things interesting? ✔

 About Community Pet Hospital
  •  Full-service hospital with GP, ER, and urgent care caseloads
  • Strong doctor collaboration
  • Modern equipment and support that allows you to focus on medicine
  • Part of NVA, offering stability with independence at the hospital level

 Growth, Mentorship & Career Pathways
Whether you’re:
  • A GP looking to expand into ER
  • An ER doctor wanting some daytime or swing shifts
You’ll find:
  • Support to grow clinically without pressure to rush
  • Opportunity to grow into leadership roles over time if that’s your goal

 Schedule Flexibility
  • Daytime and/or Swing Shift focused schedules
  • GP, ER, or blended shifts available
  • Built with work/life balance and sustainability in mind

 Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 (based on experience) + production
  • Sign-on bonus available (role- and experience-dependent)
  • CE allowance + paid CE days
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid parental leave, and more
  • Access to NVA’s learning, leadership, and long-term career resources

 Who This Is Perfect For
  • Doctors who enjoy variety and flexibility in their caseload
  • GPs curious about ER, or ER doctors wanting daytime balance
  • Anyone who wants to shape their career instead of being boxed into it
