Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) in Waukesha, WI is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join our highly respected and collaborative team. This rare opening is due to a team member's relocation and offers a unique chance to join a well-established, tight-knit group of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional emergency and specialty veterinary care.

In September, we’ll be moving to our brand-new, 24,000 sq. ft. facility, purpose-built to support top-tier emergency and specialty services. The new hospital is thoroughly equipped and features:

  • Separate ER and ICU areas
  • Expanded surgical suites
  • Fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures
  • Advanced imaging with 128 slice CT and 1.5 T MRI
  • Dedicated ER exam and bereavement rooms

Specialty Services Include: Anesthesiology/Pain Management, Cardiology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Rehab and Physical Therapy, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery.


The Role:

  • Full-time Emergency Veterinarian
  • The schedule will include overnights and rotating weekends, or we can offer an exclusive overnight schedule (can be outpatient receiving or ICU oversight) if preferred
  • Work alongside a highly collaborative, supportive, and experienced team
  • Play an integral role in teaching externs, interns, and junior veterinarians

Requirements:

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • License (or eligibility) to practice in Wisconsin
  • Internship or emergency training or experience
  • Passion for emergency medicine and commitment to excellence in patient care
