Are you an experienced equine Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant with a solid foundation in horsemanship looking to expand your knowledge while working with world class equine athletes? Fairfield Equine is looking for a technician to spend the winters in Wellington, FL and the summers in Newtown, CT.

From treating the top athletes at home to Olympic and other international sporting events, we strive to provide premium care and exceed client expectations. As one of the most technically advanced practices in the country, our services include digital radiography, ultrasound, nuclear scintigraphy (bone scan), onsite MRI, state of the art surgical suites, and shockwave therapy among others. A proud member of the ISELP with two board certified surgeons and 11 doctors total, our mission is to provide exemplary healthcare for every horse we treat.

What to Expect:

· Mentorship & Utilization: Our Doctors enjoy having the opportunity to mentor, guide and support professional development all while allowing techs to flex their skill set and partner in patient care.

· Quality Medicine. Our team of Doctors and Technicians utilize state of the art equipment to perform advanced techniques providing excellent care and treatment services.

The Ideal Candidate:

· You possess excellent horse handling skills and ideally have at least two years of prior experience working in the sport horse industry.

· You are Motivated, dependable, and organized, have a strong work ethic and a love for equine athletes and the people they come with!

· You are comfortable longeing and jogging horses in hand throughout the day and are familiar with equine restraint techniques for different procedures.

· You understand the importance of clear & effective communication among clients and team members.

· Must be able to lift and carry 50+lbs

· Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Anticipated Schedule (TBD):

· One Full-time position available

· 10-hour shifts per week

· Overtime/On-Call is compensated.

Compensation & Benefits:

· SIGN ON BONUS $1000

· CE Allowance for credentialed technicians
