Full-Time Equine Ambulatory Veterinarian

Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is searching for a full-time, enthusiastic, team oriented, and self-driven equine ambulatory veterinarian. Schedule includes four weekdays with rotating 1/4-1/3 of weekend and weeknight on call and shared holidays. Ambulatory veterinarians are provided with a vehicle and all equipment, including access to portable ultrasound, digital radiographs, ESWT, video endoscopy, etc. Our equine patients include performance horses of various disciplines, pleasure, and backyard horses with a call radius of about 30 minutes from the hospital.

About Chaparral:

Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is the largest 24-hour equine referral hospital throughout the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale area. We offer specialty services for horses on a routine and emergency basis in internal medicine and surgery. We collaborate with other specialists in cardiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. The hospital is located in the foothills of Cave Creek and is fully equipped with a cooled 12 stall nursing and intensive care unit, an isolation building, standing MRI, Nuclear Scintigraphy, full-service radiology suite, ultrasound, endoscopy, on-site laboratory, and 2 surgery suites with padded induction and recovery rooms.

Our veterinarian staff includes three board certified equine surgeons, one board certified equine internal medicine specialist, four ambulatory equine veterinarians, and two small animal veterinarians. Veterinarians are supported by over twenty-five team members.
