Equine Veterinary Care is seeking a cheerful, hardworking, and enthusiastic Equine Practice Manager to join our experienced team. Located at the prestigious Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, MD, our newly reconstructed outpatient clinic specializes in providing comprehensive services to sport horses and thoroughbreds, including soundness and prepurchase examinations, poor-performance workups, advanced diagnostic imaging, and therapies.

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong horse background to join us as an Equine Practice Manager. The ideal candidate will possess legal work status, a valid driver’s license, and a can-do attitude, with a commitment to excellence in equine healthcare. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing wellness and medical care to ambulatory horse clients within a 45-minute radius in MD, PA & DE, while also supporting our outpatient clinic at the Fair Hill Training Center.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the outpatient clinic and ambulatory services, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care.
  • Coordinate appointments, procedures, and follow-up care for equine patients, maintaining accurate records and communication with clients.
  • Oversee inventory management, pharmacy operations, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support veterinarians and technicians in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, including advanced imaging and treatments.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, leading by example with a focus on teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Strong horse background with a passion for equine sports medicine.
  • Legal work status and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Previous experience in veterinary practice management or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
