Exam Room Assistant
The Exam Room Assistant plays a key role in supporting patient flow, client communication, and overall efficiency in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. This individual must be energetic, organized, and eager to work as part of a collaborative medical team.
Veterinary or medical experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:

Room patients efficiently and obtain accurate weights and vital signs

Obtain thorough patient histories and gather pertinent information related to patient care

Clearly communicate and round patient information with the doctor and technician team

Assist in making medical and preventative care recommendations as directed by the medical team

Prepare and fill prescriptions as needed

Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the medical record

Review discharge instructions with clients to ensure clear understanding of at-home care and follow-up needs

Take payments and assist with checking clients out in a professional and compassionate manner

Maintain a positive, supportive, and caring experience for both clients and patients
