Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining the monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes, providing month-end close assistance, quarter-end reporting requirements, and ongoing variance analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with maintaining the monthly forecast and annual budgeting processes for all of Ethos, including core hospital operations, vertical services and National groups
  • Attends monthly financial review meetings with accountants, hospital leadership and/or vertical service leaders to obtain forecast inputs
  • Assists in month-end close activities including reconciliation of head count activity, forecasting tool maintenance, and consolidation reporting
  • In coordination with Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, analyzes current and historical data to prepare forecast & budget and board reporting packages and presentations
  • Assists in the monthly variance analysis processes, noting and explaining key drivers versus forecast, budget, and prior year results, including detailed understanding of direct material and direct labor fluctuations
  • Assists with the maintaining calendars, assumptions, outstanding inputs and detailed analysis
  • Develops and maintains financial reports, dashboards and metrics displays, automating and expanding upon current reporting
  • Assists with maintaining financial planning tool and supports the accounting organization in reporting needs
  • Serves as a financial resource and business partner to the organization by assisting in ad hoc analyses
  • Builds relationships with business operations to effectively communicate monthly financial results, recommends financial actions, initiatives and policy changes
  • Establishes and maintains strong business partnerships with key counterparts including Hospital
  • Directors, Department heads, Accounting Staff and Team members
  • Instills and promotes exemplary customer service and hospitality at all facilities promoting a customer-oriented focus and advocating for deep and lasting customer relationships
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 3+ Years of prior experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Adaptive Insight experience strongly preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Strong Excel and data management skills including the ability to write and evaluate complex formulaic expressions.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus

The base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000-$85,000 with opportunity for an annual incentive bonus. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
