We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Full-Time Veterinary Hospitalist to become part of our skilled and growing team at Summit Veterinary Referral Center. Join us in our state-of-the-art facility in Tacoma, Washington, and be an essential member of our collaborative, specialist-driven hospital.

About the Role
As a Veterinary Hospitalist at Summit, you’ll work closely with our Emergency and Critical Care teams to manage patient transfers that require hospitalization. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing patients transferred for extended care, discharging patients after your assessment, and handling minor follow-up appointments. Additionally, you’ll care for same-day emergencies and manage low-acuity, urgent-care cases, ensuring patients receive the best treatment tailored to their needs.

Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is compassionate, collaborative, and has completed an internship or has at least two years of experience as an Emergency Veterinarian. You’ll thrive in a team-based environment, working alongside skilled CSRs, Assistants, and Technicians to deliver exceptional care to our patients and clients.

Schedule and Compensation
This role primarily covers weekends, with occasional weekday shifts, from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm.

  • Compensation: $130,000 - $180,000 annually plus production.
