Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE), an Ethos Veterinary Health hospital, is excited to announce the continued evolution of our rehabilitation services. We are transitioning from a high-volume, well-established Pain Management & Rehabilitation program into a comprehensive Integrative Medicine & Rehabilitation Service—and we are seeking a full-time veterinarian to help shape and grow this next chapter.
CASE is a thriving multi-specialty hospital offering 24/7 emergency care with a collaborative culture, strong interdepartmental communication, and a shared commitment to advancing patient care. Our specialists include Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Nephrology and dialysis, Radiation Oncology, and Critical Care.

About the Role
This position represents an exciting opportunity to build upon an already successful service and help design CASE’s integrated approach to pain management, mobility, wellness, recovery, and overall quality of life.
The Integrative Medicine & Rehabilitation Veterinarian provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with chronic pain, functional impairment, orthopedic or neurologic conditions, chronic disease, mobility challenges, wellness needs, and palliative/hospice support.

Treatment modalities may include:
• Acupuncture
• Chiropractic care
• Nutraceutical and dietary supplement guidance
• Manual therapy
• Therapeutic exercises
• Hydrotherapy
• Electrical stimulation
• Laser therapy
• Shockwave therapy
• Thermotherapy & PEMF
• Intra-articular therapeutic injections (including analgesic and radiopharmaceutical agents)
• Assistive devices, orthotics, and prosthetics

You will join CASE at a pivotal moment as we redefine the role of integrative medicine within our hospital. The new service will continue to support the heavy caseload historically seen in our rehabilitation department while expanding our capabilities and multidisciplinary offerings.

Our Facility & Equipment
Our hospital offers a growing rehabilitation and integrative medicine service designed to support multimodal pain management, mobility restoration, and whole-patient wellness. Our dedicated space includes:
• A large room designed specifically for the underwater treadmill and therapeutic exercise, offering plenty of space for patients and handlers, with infrastructure in place to add a second UWTM in the future
• Hudson Aquatic underwater treadmill
• Companion Class IV therapeutic laser
• Companion cold compression unit
• One Assisi Loop® PEMF therapy mat
• A selection of therapeutic exercise equipment, including cavalettis, wobble boards, balance discs, therapy balls, and other functional tools for strength and mobility work
We also provide:
• A private exam room for consultations, acupuncture, and integrative medicine appointments
• A dedicated procedure room for joint injections and related therapies
• A laser rental program to support ongoing at-home pain management for patients

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care – Integrative Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Review medical history, assess limitations and contraindications, and perform comprehensive pain and functional assessments.
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Deliver and/or direct integrative and rehabilitation therapies.
• Measure and fit orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Utilize quantitative outcome measurement tools to assess treatment effectiveness.
• Provide clear, timely communication with referring veterinarians, specialists, technicians, clients, and house officers.
• Supervise and guide rehabilitation technicians and assistants.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration
• Work closely with Surgery and Neurology for postoperative and conservative management cases.
• Support Internal Medicine and Oncology with mobility, pain management, and palliative care strategy.
• Participate fully in CASE’s collaborative, team-centered approach to specialty medicine.

Qualifications
• DVM/VMD degree
• Internship experience or comparable small animal clinical experience
• Certification in Canine Rehabilitation (CCRT/CCRP/CCRV/VMRT required)
• Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA/CVMA/CVAT required)
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Physical Demands
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver equipment
• Ability to treat patients inside and outside underwater treadmills
• Ability to lift and move recumbent small animals
• Ability to stand for extended periods
