Job Title:        Internal Medicine Specialist (multiple openings)  

Job Location: Shoreline, Washington

Job Type:        Full Time

Rate of Pay:    $82,909 – $175,000 per Year

Duties:         Receive patients referred by a primary care veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment of complicated medical issues. Provide owners with diagnostic and treatment options. Formulate and review the cost of our services. Communicate patient’s needs to the nursing staff so treatment and diagnostics can be initiated once diagnostic/treatment plan is approved, Perform specialized diagnostics and procedures such as endoscopy, ultrasound, metabolic testing, etc. Manage patients admitted to the hospital. Communicate with owners and primary doctors. Provide discharge instructions and medications for patients leaving the hospital.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in veterinary medicine. Position requires experience:

• Using endoscopic equipment, both rigid and flexible;
• Performing basic ultrasounds;
• Performing joint taps;
• Performing bone marrow aspirates; and
• Performing endoscopic esophageal balloon dilation

Licenses:      Must be board certified as a Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
