No prior work experience required.

    As a kennel assistant you will have several core duties, including cleaning and maintaining kennels, feeding and watering animals, administering medications, providing exercise, and basic grooming. You will also play a crucial role in observing and monitoring animal health and behavior.
    Detailed Responsibilities:
    • Cleaning and Maintenance:
      This involves regularly cleaning kennels and cages, disinfecting surfaces, and replacing bedding.
       
      Feeding and Watering:
      Providing animals with appropriate food and water according to their dietary needs and schedules.
       
      Medication Administration:
      Administering medications as directed by veterinarians or veterinary technicians.
       
      Exercise and Play:
      Walking dogs, providing playtime, and ensuring animals get adequate exercise.
       
      Grooming:
      Assisting with basic grooming tasks like bathing and brushing.
       
      Animal Monitoring:
      Observing animals for any signs of illness, distress, or unusual behavior and reporting concerns to management or veterinary staff.
       
      Record Keeping:
      Maintaining records of animal health, behavior, and medication administration.
       
      Customer Service:
      Providing information to pet owners, answering phone calls, and checking animals in and out.
