Job Description

Do you love working with animals and being part of a caring, fast-paced team? Pima North Animal Hospital, in North Scottsdale, is looking for a reliable and compassionate Kennel Attendant to help care for our patients and support our medical team.

Position Overview:
The Kennel Attendant plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our hospitalized and boarding pets while assisting the veterinary team as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Feeding, walking, and monitoring hospitalized and boarding pets

  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and treatment areas

  • Assisting with laundry and general hospital upkeep

  • Observing pets for changes in behavior or appetite and reporting concerns

  • Supporting technicians and doctors with basic patient care tasks

  • Providing gentle handling and compassionate care to all animals

  • Cross training for Customer Service Representative and/or Veterinary Assistant is likely

Qualifications:

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments

  • Comfortable with cleaning duties and physical activity (standing, walking, lifting)

  • Previous animal care or kennel experience preferred but not required

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
