Yorkville Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. We are a fast-paced, full-service hospital that takes pride in providing exceptional care to every pet, including those staying with us for boarding and daycare.
In this role, you will help ensure our guests are safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the day. Responsibilities include feeding and watering pets, providing enrichment and exercise, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, and supporting the overall flow of the hospital.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in getting their foot in the door in veterinary medicine or growing within the field. No prior experience is required. We will train the right person who has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, and being part of a team that relies on each other.
What We Offer:
· Competitive hourly pay with growth potential across roles ($15–$17/hr for Kennel Assistants)
· Full medical, dental, and vision benefits
· Pet care discounts, including free doggy daycare for employee pets
· Uniform allowance
· Supportive leadership with regular check-ins, mentorship, and clear growth opportunities
· A collaborative, team-first culture that celebrates birthdays, outings, and even a monthly book club
· Community involvement through local events, parades, and volunteer opportunities
