Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff is looking for a Part-Time Kennel Attendant to join our team! This role is perfect for someone with prior kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience who’s ready to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

We are a small animal general practice located just outside Lake Charles, LA, in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2023. Our team provides high-quality medical and surgical care for pets and a comfortable, safe boarding experience.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Part-time: 10–15 hours per week
  • Must have weekend availability + 1–2 weekdays
  • $9-10/hour, based on experience

General Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Cleaning and sanitizing cages, boarding areas, bathrooms, and other hospital spaces
  • Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
  • Walking dogs (in all weather) and changing litter pans for cats
  • Doing laundry and cleaning/sanitizing pet dishes
  • Maintaining hospital interior and exterior areas (lobby, lunchroom, grooming room, storeroom, etc.)
  • Checking on hospitalized patients throughout the day
  • Bathing pets and preparing them for dismissal
  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians when needed
  • Administering medications to hospitalized or boarding pets as directed
  • Reporting patient health updates to veterinarians/technicians

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in kennel work, animal care, or veterinary medicine preferred
  • Comfortable working with both dogs and cats
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to excellent animal care and customer service
