Located in the heart of Madison, MS, we are a full-service small animal hospital committed to providing innovative, high-quality care for pets and exceptional service to our clients. About the Role:

As a Kennel Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of our boarding, grooming, and hospitalized patients. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in animal care.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing daily care, feeding, and exercise for animals in the hospital and boarding facility
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment (kennels, cages, runs, wards)
  • Bathing and basic grooming of pets
  • Monitoring animal behavior and alerting veterinary staff of any concerns
  • Assisting team members with basic handling and animal husbandry
  • Supporting a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Frequently lift and carry patients weighing 50 lbs., and walk/handle patients weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks/duties assigned by your immediate supervisor

  • Previous animal care experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
