Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and overall well-being of our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide attentive care to dogs and cats, maintain a clean and organized facility, and assist with various tasks related to pet care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as directed.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary kennel areas, including cleaning cages, bedding, and play areas.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals, promptly reporting any concerns to the supervisor or veterinary staff.
  • Exercise and socialize animals in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Adhere to feeding schedules and dietary instructions for each animal.
  • Ensure that all animals receive adequate exercise, mental stimulation, and attention.
  • Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming.
  • Maintain accurate records of each animal's activities, behavior, and health.
  • Assist with the intake and discharge process including completing necessary documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering client inquiries, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive and safe environment for all animals and staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with animals in a professional capacity is preferred.
  • Genuine love for animals and a strong desire to provide excellent care.
  • Ability to handle animals with patience, kindness, and confidence.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health.
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle strenuous activities, including lifting heavy objects and restraining animals when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.75 - $15.25 per hour
