Kennel Assistant
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our team. If you love animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feed, water, and care for dogs, cats and exotics.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas.
- Janitorial duties and maintenance of hospital.
- Exercise, walk, and monitor animals for their health and wellbeing.
- Bathing and nail trims
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Support the veterinary and kennel team with daily tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with pet owners.
Requirements:
- Genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform cleaning duties.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Previous animal care experience is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided.
