Job Description

Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is looking for a compassionate and reliable Kennel Assistant to help us care for our patients and our hospital. If you have a sincere passion for animals and want to be part of a supportive veterinary team, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

§  Keep the hospital clean, stocked, safe and comfortable.

§  Provide daily care for dogs and cats (feeding, walking, cleaning and lots of TLC)

§  Assist veterinary staff with patient handling when needed.

§  Monitor animals’ behavior and well-being, and report changes to the team.

What We’re Looking For:

§  A dependable, self-starter with excellent time management skills.

§  Strong ability to manage the emotional aspect of veterinary medicine.

§  Able to work in a team environment and communicate clearly.

§  Previous veterinary hospital or animal care experience is helpful but not required - we will provide training.

§  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and handle pets of all sizes.
