Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff

Job Description

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff
📍 150 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Lake Charles, LA 70611

Join a close-knit, supportive veterinary team in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility!

Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff is growing! Our doctor team is expanding, and we're looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our collaborative and skilled support staff.

After losing our original facility to Hurricane Laura, we rebuilt and reopened in 2023 with a brand new, modern hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the tools you need to provide outstanding care. We are a small animal general practice that performs both routine and advanced surgical procedures, including cruciate repairs, explanatories, C-sections, cystotomies, and more.

Whether you're a new graduate ready to learn or an experienced tech with a passion for surgery, we’d love to meet you. Our lead technician is an excellent mentor, and our hospital manager, who has led this team for over 15 years, is a laid-back, open-door leader who emphasizes mental health, team accountability, and stepping in to support wherever needed.

What You'll Love About This Role:

  • Monday – Friday schedule – no weekends!
  • Everyone works 4 full days and 1 half day for optimal work-life balance
  • $17–$21/hour, depending on experience
  • Full benefits package including:
    • Medical, dental, vision
    • Pet care discounts
    • Free flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for your personal pets
    • License reimbursement
    • Continuing education opportunities
    • Three sets of scrubs provided

Why You’ll Thrive Here:

  • Strong team dynamics – our staff genuinely enjoy working together and supporting one another
  • Positive, respectful, and collaborative environment
  • A place where you’ll feel valued and heard, with opportunities to grow and develop your skills
  • Be part of a practice where your surgical skills will be fully utilized and appreciated
