We are currently building a top-of-the-line facility located in

Gardnerville to be equipped with new digital x-ray, full in-house

laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, electrocardiography, CT, full in-house

pharmacy and multiple surgical suites to house routine and advanced

surgical procedures. 

We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated individual to join our amazing Technician team! Hours include nights and weekends. Must be reliable and responsible. Offering great starting hourly salary and  benefits package after 60 days (must be full time). We are currently in need of technicians WITH EXPERIENCE (1-3 years preferred) in the veterinary field. Our Veterinary Technicians work both independently and side by side with our doctors. Technicians must have excellent communication and customer service skills. We utilize electronic medical records, so computer skills are a must. Experience with Ezyvet preferred but not required.Although we are considered a general practice, we also provide urgent same day care and emergency after hours care. We primarily see cats and dogs, but will also see birds, pocket pets, some reptiles, and small livestock

 

Our Veterinary Technician perform various roles such as Exam Room Technician, Treatment Room Technician, Dental Technician and Surgery Technician. Technician responsibilities include obtaining history from clients, assisting in exam rooms, client education, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, SQ/IV/IM injections, obtaining digital radiographs, performing treatments as directed by the doctors, preparing samples to be sent to outside laboratories, and performing in-house bloodwork. Technicians also prepare patients for surgery, intubate, monitor anesthesia, perform dental cleanings and obtain digital dental radiographs. Cleaning, Stocking, and Laundry are part these duties. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
