We are a busy small animal hospital that is looking for the right person to join our team. We are looking for someone who is energetic, compassionate and has great attention to detail. You will learn and advance your career in our fun, fast-paced hospital located in Northern New Jersey. We utilize our Technicians to their fullest potential and give them every opportunity to use the skills they learned in school. We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Hours do include some evenings (to 6pm) and alternating Saturdays. We are seeking a part-time or full-time experienced Veterinary Technician who has graduated from an AVMA-accredited technician program. Our technicians use their training to deliver excellent comprehensive medical care including: routine diagnostic testing, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, nursing care and assisting in routine office appointments. Our technicians also assist our team of doctors with digital radiology, anesthesia administration/monitoring, surgery, and dentistry with digital x-ray.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Completion of an AVMA-accredited technician program with certification
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Working knowledge of routine diagnostic testing and radiology, anesthesia administration and monitoring, dentistry, nursing care, catheter placement, and venipuncture

The base hourly range for this position is $22.00-$30.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
