Position Overview: We are seeking a LVT to join our team that is interested in future leadership opportunities. In this role you will be responsible for assisting to mentor, train, and inspire our veterinary technicians. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of our clinic. About Us: Established in 1900, Buffalo Small Animal Hospital is an AAHA Accredited, 2 Doctor small animal hospital that provides affordable, high-quality healthcare and advice for our city's animals. After the horse stalls turned into exam rooms and the haylofts turned into boarding facilities, we continued to outgrow our space and have recently moved into a new building to keep up with the expansion of our services!

Key Responsibilities:

· Training & Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to veterinary technicians helping them enhance their technical skills and knowledge. You will play a pivotal role sharing your knowledge and ensuring that our team is equipped with the latest techniques and best practices in veterinary care.

· Leadership Development: You will have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills. We value your expertise and encourage you to take the initiative in guiding and inspiring your colleagues. Lead by example, promoting a positive work culture, teamwork, and collaboration among staff members.

· Skill Development: Identify areas for improvement and create personalized development plans for team members to help them reach their full potential.

· Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary care by monitoring and evaluating the performance of team members.

· Team Collaboration: Working closely with our veterinarians, fellow technicians, and support staff, you will contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. Your ability to work cohesively with others will be instrumental in delivering high-quality patient care.

· You are a confident, skilled, Licensed Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

· You understand the intricacies of animal care and have a strong desire to share your knowledge with others.

· You enjoy training and mentoring, and you thrive in a collaborative team environment.

· Your ability to meet challenges head-on and your enthusiasm for advancing in your career make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Anticipated Schedule:

· Flexible with five 8-hour shifts or four-10 hours shifts.

· NO WEEKENDS!

· Clinic closes at 6p M-Th and 4p on Fridays!

Compensation:

· $22 - $25 hourly wage – Pay ranges are determined by skills, experience and relevant training or education
