Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team at Marbletown Animal Hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is confident in surgery, anesthesia, and emergency/urgent care triage. We are also open to training a motivated candidate with a strong foundation, a passion for learning, and a desire for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform emergency and urgent care triage
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and soft tissue procedures
  • Support emergency and routine surgical procedures
  • Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs, scaling, and polishing
  • Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, and perform in-house diagnostics
  • Provide high-quality patient care, restraint, and nursing support
  • Maintain accurate medical records using proper veterinary terminology
  • Support, train, and mentor veterinary assistants and fellow technicians
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and hospital leadership

Qualifications:

  • Current New York Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required
  • Experience in anesthesia and surgery preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency/urgent care environment
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality medicine

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position
  • Must be available for one Saturday per month
  • Hospital hours:
    • Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Wednesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
