The team at Bismarck Animal Clinic & Hospital is growing - we are looking for another Licensed Veterinary Technician to join us!  Relocation assistance possible.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various medical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and hands-on experience with animal care.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures

Perform routine tasks such as taking X-rays and administering vaccinations

Conduct physical examinations and monitor the health of animals

Provide proper restraint techniques for animals during treatments

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient

Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures

Groom pets as needed to maintain their hygiene and comfort

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility, including equipment sterilization

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Familiarity with X-ray procedures

Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology

Experience in dog handling and effective animal restraint methods

A background in veterinary practices or related fields is preferred

Demonstrated ability in animal care, including feeding, bathing, and exercising pets
