Job Description
Rutland Animal Hospital is a compassionate full-service veterinary hospital that strives to provide gold-standard medicine to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We are located in a growing suburban area where we treat our patients as our own and our clients as family!
We are looking to fill a full-time position
Job Responsibilities:
- Proficient at animal husbandry.
- Proficient at animal restraint.
- Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and weight.
- Perform in-hospital diagnostic testing.
- Dispense and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- IV catheter placement and maintenance.
- Administer, prepare, and monitor patients here for surgical procedures.
- Maintain an efficient flow of daily operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain superb cleanliness throughout the facility.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm in times of various pressures
- Ability to foster a positive work environment
Education:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine
- 1+ years of experience working as an LVT preferred
