Job Title:  Manager, Benefit Systems & Communications

Reports to:  Sr. Director, Benefits

     

      As the Manager, Benefits Systems & Communications, you will be responsible for our benefits administration platform and communications. This role will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and optimization of the benefits administration system and ensuring it is operating to full compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits, system administration, technology solutions, and employee communications.


  • Technology & Systems Oversight: Manage the vendor relationship and ensure the system is configured to support benefit plan enrollment and the communications in the system.  Work closely with Payroll, HRIS, and HR Operations to ensure an exceptional employee experience.  Have a passion for Benefits Systems Administration.
  • Benefit Program Guru: Possess a clear understanding of all benefit programs including medical/pharmacy, dental, vision, life Insurance and disability, voluntary benefit programs, retirement programs including 401(k), flexible spending and health saving accounts, and wellness plans.
  • Employee Communication & Support: Oversee Benefit Program communication campaigns (Open Enrollment, Benefit Blogs, Learning Sessions, etc.) to effectively communicate benefit plans to team members across the organization and it’s multiple layers. Act as the primary contact for HR and Operation partners to set up communications and training programs.
  • Vendor & Consultant Coordination: Collaborate with benefit consultants and vendors to ensure seamless administration.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all benefit programs comply with governmental regulations and labor laws, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and HIPAA. Provide oversight for all required testing, audits, and SOX compliance
  • Team Oversight and Collaboration: Provide direction, and support for your team to ensure that day-to-day operations of your area are being completed timely. Collaborate with other Benefits Team members and Business Partners across the organization to ensure we are meeting needs


Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred, CEBS/CBP Certifications
  • 7 years of benefits responsibility for benefits technology administration including experience with HIPAA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, USERRA, ADA, ADAAA, and other applicable state legislation
  • Retail and/or Multi-state large (up to 20,000 employees) employer experience preferred

  • Ability to handle sensitive information respectfully and compassionately and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to efficiently and effectively manage a high volume of inquiries and e-mails
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex customer service issues
  • Ability to operate within HCM systems (Ceridian Dayforce, ADP Vantage)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work within a team environment and to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Ability to manage up and down the organizational hierarchy to drive change as necessary

The total cash compensation (base and bonus included) is $108,000 - $163,000 annually.
