Job Summary

National Veterinary Associates (“NVA”) is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Manager, Corporate FP&A to join our growing Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership—including the VP of Finance, CFO, and other executives—on enterprise-wide financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Ideal for a finance professional looking to build internal influence and gain exposure to strategic decision-making in a fast-growing, mission-driven organization.


Reporting Relationship

The Manager will report directly to the Director, Corporate Finance


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to our executive and ownership groups; includes preparation of backup excel files, powerpoint presentation materials, calendar organization, business unit inputs, etc.
  • Deliver insightful, value-added, cross-company financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decision-making and improve business performance
  • Investigate and track the financial impact of strategic business initiatives
  • Assist with consolidation of budgeting and forecasting processes (implementation, streamlining, reporting, etc.)
  • Partner with Business Units, Accounting, and other departments to interpret results, monitor KPIs, understand variances, and identify drivers of performance.
  • Provide various levels of balance sheet (e.g., debt and leverage ratios) and cash flow reporting
  • Assist with Investor/Lender requests, and with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate and assist with Internal / External audit requests
  • Support NVA Group’s bi-annual valuation process, providing our ownership group with all the necessary information and financial metrics.
  • Support joint venture redemption processes, including the diligence of respective hospital P&L performance
  • Track industry trends summarize key insights

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience; mix of public and private company exposure preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • High-level understanding of GAAP and ability to translate financial data into management reporting tools, graphics, narrative development, etc.
  • Ability to develop, manage, and continuously improve multi-disciplinary processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems and data tools preferred.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to articulate results clearly to executives and ownership stakeholders.
  • Analytical, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Collaborative spirit, and comfort working within the framework of a team
  • Passion for animals and appreciation for the veterinary profession is a plus.

Compensation

The base salary for the position ranges from $115,000-$137,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus incentive and benefits.
