Position Location: Remote


Summary


National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is looking to add a Manager, Early Careers Recruiting leading the Campus Recruiting team. This team is at the forefront of shaping the future of veterinary medicine by building relationships with students and faculty at Colleges of Veterinary Medicine. This is a remote-based position that involves up to 50% travel during peak seasons and flexibility to attend some evening and weekend events.

Key Responsibilities


To support the continued growth of NVA, we are seeking a strategic Manager, Early Careers Recruiting to help attract, engage, and hire the next generation of veterinary talent. In this role, you will report to the Director of Recruitment Marketing, leading a Campus Recruiting team within Talent Acquisition.


The Manager, Early Careers Recruiting will lead the development and execution of campus recruiting strategies to attract top veterinary talent across NVA GP. This individual will lead the early careers team to showcase our employer brand to students, establish strong campus partnerships, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. You will work closely with leaders across recruiting, marketing, medical, and operations to shape how students and early career veterinarians experience NVA.


Campus Recruiting

  • Lead a national Campus Recruiting team focused on campus engagement at Colleges of Veterinary Medicine (CVMs) and relevant academic partnerships across the US and international schools.
  • Build relationships with CVMs, student organizations, and faculty to deepen talent pipelines and further relationships for NVA.
  • Lead the execution of campus event strategies, both full-time and early ID programs, across our portfolio of schools and define program goals, success metrics, and conversion strategies.
  • Develop additional externship and early career pathways, partnering closely with our Medical and Mentor teams.
  • Create engaging and creative marketing collateral, from presentations to signage, invitations, and promotional items.
  • Promote NVA’s portfolio of clinics and opportunities to students, including presenting to large groups in-person and virtually.

Leadership and Strategy

  • Work cross-functionally with partners across talent acquisition, medical, marketing, and operations to ensure consistent brand and messaging across early career programming.
  • Responsible for the development and leadership of campus recruiters, recruiting coordinators, and early career program specialists.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop teams while fostering growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Analyze funnel performance, campaign ROI, and pipeline metrics; present insights and recommendations to business partners and senior leadership.
  • Stay current on industry trends, candidate behavior, and veterinary hiring pathways to ensure our recruitment brand is inclusive, appealing, and relevant across a diverse range of veterinary talent.
  • Subject matter expertise in recruiting at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Utilize data and insights to continuously improve our strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition and campus recruiting leadership; Demonstrated success recruiting specialized talent in a highly competitive labor market.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; DVM or veterinary recruiting background strongly preferred.  
  • Experience working and leading in a remote, distributed, or multi-site workforce.
  • Experience operating a range of systems, applications, and tools for Talent Acquisition; proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (Avature) and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understands how to best leverage data and analytics to improve process.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
  • A collaborative, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, complex organization. Possesses intellectual agility and curiosity to thrive in a growing company. 
  • Ability to travel (up to ~50%) to campus events, conferences, and other necessary events which could include nights or weekends. Live within a commutable distance to a major airport preferred.

Compensation


The base salary range for the position is between $120,000 - $130,000 USD with an opportunity for additional bonus and benefits.


Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a periodic bonus. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
